The new M&R Sportsman press allows any shop to move into automation at a price that’s almost too good to be true. Sportsman is designed to fit into most shops, and can even be configured to fit through a standard 31” (78 cm) doorway (optional). Sportsman-available in 6, 8, and 10-color models-offers a large, 16” x 18” (41 x 46 cm) maximum image area. All Sportsman presses offer automatically operated printheads. The carousel on the 6-color model can be manually indexed or it can be automated with a pneumatic cylinder or sophisticated electric servo drive (pneumatic, pneumatic-ready, and servo options must be specified when the order is placed). Servo drive, which combines higher press speeds with exceptional smoothness, consistency, and longevity, is standard on the 8 and 10-color models. Central off-contact adjustment and pneumatic screen clamps are standard, enabling quicker setup and adjustment. Also standard is M&R’s patented Revolver Print Program™, which automatically operates individual printheads in programmed sequence and allows multiple flashing without losing a printing position. Revolver also simplifies hard-to-print jobs. Sportsman is compatible with most M&R Flash Cure Units, making it easy to find the flash that’s right for you. Options include M&R’s exclusive Optic Shirt Detector, a foot pedal to control indexing, Squeegee Air Pressure Regulators for quick, easy balancing of squeegee print pressure, and brushless, maintenance-free AC variable-frequency drive motors for the ultimate in print control (front stroke length adjustment comes standard with AC heads).
Printing can be further simplified with M&R’s easy-to-use Tri-Loc® and Double Tri-Loc® Rapid Registration Systems, which allow operators to precisely match registration on the exposure unit with registration on the press. Tri-Loc systems, which work on all M&R manual and automatic carousel textile presses, can reduce setup time by as much as 95%.
Not only is Sportsman easy to afford, it’s easy to set up and operate. Controls are clearly marked and easy to understand, and the control panel features programming and prompts in plain language. Sportsman is constructed of rigid steel & aluminum and premium components. Like all M&R equipment, it’s built with M&R's unsurpassed commitment to quality, durability, and design excellence, and backed by M&R’s unparalleled service and support. If you’re looking for a truly versatile press at a fantastic price, look to Sportsman.
